Do you have any ideas of how I can encourage employees to recognize more often?

We have some employees who always make a great effort to recognize their team but I noticed that many leaders/employees shy away from social recognitions. Maybe they don't know what to say or how to say it in such a public forum. I am looking for a list of prompts or ideas to encourage employees and leaders to write meaningful recognitions to their colleagues. What have you done within your organization that has helped foster more meaningful recognition?
